Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about sourcing with EcoTradition as an international buyer.
EcoTradition is the export-facing brand through which international businesses can explore and source Indian handcrafted products. We focus on B2B export enquiries, wholesale supply, product customisation, private-label projects and long-term relationships with international buyers.
EcoTradition works with HeartfulCraft International Pvt. Ltd. through an authorised export partnership and its managed artisan network. This arrangement enables us to coordinate product sourcing, customisation, production requirements and export-related discussions for international buyers.
Avijit Roy represents HeartfulCraft International Pvt. Ltd. as an authorised export partner through EcoTradition. He helps international buyers discuss sourcing requirements, product development, quotations, samples and potential export orders.
EcoTradition follows a decentralised artisan production model rather than relying solely on a single mass-production factory. Different artisan groups may specialise in crafts and processes such as hand block printing, embroidery, stitching, wood carving and finishing. Production coordination and quality checks help bring these contributions together for export orders.
EcoTradition sources products through HeartfulCraft International Pvt. Ltd. and its artisan network. Products are handmade or hand-finished, although some supporting processes may use modern tools. The production method varies by product category.
EcoTradition coordinates with HeartfulCraft’s managed artisan network to organise product requirements, production, quality checks and export arrangements. Buyers work through EcoTradition and the relevant management team, allowing communication and order coordination to remain structured throughout the process.

Submit an enquiry through the EcoTradition website, by email or via WhatsApp. You can then discuss your requirements with Avijit Roy and the relevant team. A video call can be arranged if needed. A 60–70% advance payment is generally expected before production begins because many orders are made to order. The remaining payment milestones are agreed with the buyer before order confirmation.
Repeat orders are welcome, subject to availability and confirmation of current specifications, pricing and lead time. Mixed designs may be possible depending on product category, quantity, material availability and production feasibility. As products are handcrafted, minor variations between batches can occur.
